This hotel offers excellent value for money, with prices that won't break the bank. The attention to detail in this hotel is impressive, ensuring that guests have a comfortable stay. The location of this hotel is ideal, with easy access to both train stations and within walking distance to Kasuga Shrine. The staff at this hotel provide top-notch service, making sure that guests feel welcome and well taken care of. The rooms in this hotel are spacious and have all the necessary amenities, including very fast wifi. I especially loved the option of having a Japanese-style room with tatami mats, which added a unique touch to my stay. Breakfast is included at this hotel and it offers a good variety, with both Japanese and western options to choose from.
All was more than satisfactory, couldn't ask for more.

We stayed 5 nights in november 2011. The room was on the 5th floor, and has very new design and facilities. The room was large, the twin beds too. There isnt internet connection, but you can use the internet cafe for free. The hall is very friendly, they have a western and japanese talking area too. Private and public bath is also available. The breakfast is normal with western/japanese meals. The staff is very friendly, very kind and almost them speak english. I highly recoomend this hotel for anybody who wants a friendly, family style, clean hotel. Nara park is 10 minutes walk.

This hotel had the perfect location for me as it was near both the train stations and plenty of restaurants. It was also within walking distance to all the major attractions. The raised sleeping platform on the Japanese-style beds was a unique touch and made for a comfortable sleep. Additionally, the staff was very friendly and the hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained.

I had a very good experience staying at this hotel in Nara. the location was great, as it was within walking distance from both train stations. This made it convenient for exploring the city and even venturing out to nearby areas like Osaka. Secondly, the room was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities, including fast wifi. I especially liked the Japanese style of the room, which added a unique touch to my stay. Lastly, the breakfast provided was delicious, with a good mix of traditional Japanese options and some western dishes. It was a nice start to the day.
My stay at this hotel was satisfactory and there is little to complain about.

The hotel location was great, surrounded by many shops and very near both stations. the spacious room had comfortable beds, a nice flat screen TV, and an excellent bathroom with an advanced toilet. the breakfast buffet was mainly Japanese, with a few western options, and the staff was accommodating and friendly. the shared bath in the basement was a relaxing amenity after a day of sightseeing.
Communication with the reception was sometimes difficult, and the wifi didn't work properly.

The hotel was affordable and in a convenient location for exploring the city. the staff was generally friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious enough for two people. Plus, there were plenty of dining options nearby.
The hotel was quite noisy, with thin walls and a lack of soundproofing between rooms. the bed was also uncomfortable and made strange noises, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

A Perfect Stay in a Cozy Family Room
We had a wonderful stay in the "Bambi" family room at Hotel Asyl. The room was spacious and perfect for our family, with toys and picture books for our little one. The baby trolley provided made exploring Nara city a breeze. The Japanese dinner in the room was delicious and beautifully presented, even the kid's meal looked amazing. The highlight of our stay was the complimentary private bath in the cypress room, which was so relaxing for both us and our child. The hotel's location was great, within walking distance of major temples and the train stations. Our 2-year-old loved it so much, and we're already planning our next visit to spend more time at this lovely hotel. I highly recommend Hotel Asyl for a perfect stay in Nara.

Spending my Christmas at this hotel was a great experience. The hotel room was spacious and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The best aspects of this hotel were its amazing location, it was very close to shopping centers and different types of restaurants, also, we could get to the main attraction points very easily. The staff was friendly and always available to help us with any doubt we had. Another great advantage was the free public bath we could use without extra cost. It was spacious and clean and really helped us to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
The outdated décor of the hotel in general. The carpet in the hallway was old and stained and made the hotel look sad.

All was perfect.
